How is EPDM rubber roofing installed?
There are several stages to installing EPDM, starting with the cleaning the roof area, positioning and trimming the membrane and then securing it by applying the adhesive and roofing tape. There are 3 ways to install EPDM:
- Ballasted
- Fully Adhered
- Mechanically Attached
The entire process can be managed by DK Roofing. We are happy to provide further information on the process of instaling a new roof for your home.
Ongoing maintenance
Although EPDM rubber roofing is incredibly durable, we still recommend some maintenance to help protect and prolong its life. Occasionally cleaning the roof and removing any items helps protect the surface. Stones, leaves and other items should be swept away and if there has been any extreme weather, it may be necessary to clean off debris from trees including fallen branches. We can advise further on how to maintain your roof to ensure your property is fully protected.
